Abstract: To detect and analyze the chemical composition and physic-mechanical properties of converter steel slag of Jigang Group Co., Ltd and evaluate its feasibility as aggregate of the bituminous mixture. Use the steel slag as aggregate, mix the bituminous steel-slag mixture in three different grading structures, compare its physical and mechanical properties and analyze the influence of grading on the technical properties of bituminous steel-slag mixture. According to the test analysis results, determine the optimum grading structure suitable for bituminous steel-slag mixture, re-mix the mixture according to the optimum grading structure and verify its physical and mechanical properties, then based on this, propose reasonable grading range of AC20 bituminous steel-slag mixture.

Abstract: Aiming at the problems of the concrete pavement transverse joint, and the characteristics of prestressed concrete pavement and continuously reinforced concrete pavement, a transversely prestressed continuous concrete pavement with oblique-reinforced is presented. ABAQUS software is adopted to establish respectively two three-dimensional finite element models of plain concrete pavement and transversely prestressed continuous concrete pavement with oblique-reinforced for calculating mechanical behavior under the standard load. The results show that, with a concrete pavement slab transversely prestressed, a finite prestressing force exist in longitudinal by bonding among oblique-reinforced and concrete, and there isn’t tensile stress under the load, so the possibility of slab breakage due to tensile stress is low. Due to its excellent performance, in addition its great load-carrying capacity and overall stability, the investigation is valuable for the research of seamlessly prestressed pavement.

The Impact of Road Construction Materials Dynamic Modulus Parameters on Road Surface Shearing Stress
Abstract: At the beginning,we used the ABAQUS to establish a two-dimensional finite element model of typical asphalt pavement, and analysised the changing axiom of road surface shearing stress under the half sine wave load. Also, we studied on the impact of damping ratio and the driving speed on shearing stress. Finally, by using SPSS13.0 software to compare the impact of speed, the surface layer material damping ratio, lower modulus ratio, the thickness of the surface layer and the thickness of the subbase. The results show that, to reduce the cracking damage caused by oversized shearing stress in asphalt pavement, we should first consider the damping ratio of surface layer material, and the most effective method is to use the road-building material of high damping ratio to prevent cracks, at the same time we should raise the driving speed.

Abstract: To deal with the problem there was no strict evaluation method and standard, an experiment was designed to evaluate the segregation degree of road concrete. Furthermore, the status and index of segregation was determined too. The testing analyzed the distribute character of coarse aggregate in road concrete. Based on the method of digital image processing and the assumption that particles in fresh concrete conform to uniform distribution, a model that size of coarse aggregate against vertical section (the direction against vertical section of specimen) in concrete conforms to continuous distribution was established. Segregation degree—a parameter to characterize the degree of segregation of particles in concrete was proposed. Meanwhile,a reference standard to evaluation segregation degree was given.

Abstract: The data report format and contents between the various laboratories differ in a thousand and one ways. The project quality information cannot be compared with the others. The quality control and management is severely affected. By studying capital and normal data report format, a set of data report format is drew up for site laboratory, which will standardize the representation of test & detect data, which will be benefit to control quality and file the engineering data. The goal of standardized management and scientific management will finally be achieved.

Abstract: Increasing public interest and concern about transportation projects impacts on the national environment. Context Sensitive Design (CSD) is among the most significant concepts to emerge in highway project planning, design, and construction in recent years. However, CSD needs to be felt its way to effectual practice through a multitude of trials and misconceptions in China. The objective of paper is to summarize activities and finding in the CSD field during Meihe Freeway construction. Meihe Freeway is a successful CSD project. As a Meihe CSD team number, the author presents the CSD approach, addresses context sensitive solutions to CSD issues with flexible concepts. The paper illustrates issues and lessons learned from CSD alignment design with consideration of constrained budget, stakeholder values, ecological balance and environmental protection.

Abstract: Abaqus finite element method and experimental study are carried out to research the silt embankment reinforced by sleeve valve barrel fracturing grouting method. Numerical model is determined based on the construction methods and mechanism, the calculation parameters are determined by experimental research. The displacement, force, and plastic are analyzed through comparative analysis of safety factor of attenuated embankment before and after reinforcement. The results show that the Reinforcement effect of sleeve valve barrel fracturing grouting method to stability attenuated roadbed is remarkable.

Abstract: Based on the fuzziness and uncertainty of the subgrade stability in seasonal frozen area, the relative distance measure model with evaluation indexes and weights in the form of interval numbers is presented for the fuzzy synthetic evaluation of the subgrade stability. Firstly, the relative distance measure of each single index between the evaluated subgrade stability and the grading standards is defined. Then, the fuzzy synthetic evaluation model, which considers the functionality and proportionality of evaluation indexes, is established to calculate the comprehensive relative distance measure by using the Monte Carlo simulation method and the sequential relation analysis. Finally, a new decision index of the comprehensive relative distance measure is defined considering the concept of structural reliability, and the stability grade of seasonal frost soil subgrade can be determined by the minimum decision index from the corresponding grading standards. A practical example is given to demonstrate the feasibility and practicability of the proposed model.

Abstract: Based on investigation and survey, the conformation and the distribution for underground goaf are gotten. The goaf can be completely filled by drilling holes and grouting with the mixture of sand and water, using masonry border to isolate and filtrate the filled space and unfilled space. The shaft fills with cement stabilized soil without settlement. The result shows that latent threats remove during expressway opening for 10 years and achieve expected technical feasibility, economy, and rationality.
