The Improvement of the Performence of Microstrip Leaky-Wave Antenna Based on Symmetrical CRLH-TL

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper we propose a novel structure for CRLH-TL,that is symmetrical CRLH-TL structure, used in microstrip leaky-wave(MLWA) ,which will have more advantages than asymmetric structure.because the symmetrical structure allows the unit always in balanced state, microstrip leaky-wave antenna(MLWA)based on symmetrical structure CRLH-TL in balanced state can realize the seamless transition from left hand to right hand , expanding the scope of beam scanning, realizing the beam scanning function of the electromagnetic wave from backward to forward and miniaturization. The phenomenon will be explained theoretically and validated through the measurement and simulation in this paper.
