Abstract: Study on the construction monitoring was used to focusing on the Bridge and Tunnel. The construction of the steel structure workshop more and more appeared in the past few years, proper method of stress-strain monitoring of the key component while construction of steel structure workshop ,become particularly important factor to ensure the safety of construction process. Based on practical example of Jinbei automobile factory workshop, the paper describes the stress-strain monitoring of steel beam during column demolition. Through the design of test solution and the analysis of test data, get the suitable scheme of stress-strain monitoring, stress and strain field monitoring of the basic program, meeting the monitoring requirement whether steel beam is safe and reliable during column demolition, and could provide basis and support for similar conditions on-site monitoring.

Abstract: To determine the reinforced concrete perforated plate thickness and size of hole in a processing workshop, four kinds of scheme are given. In this article, finite element software ANSYS is used to analyze the stress and deformation under the action of vertical load on four cases. A group schemes which meet standard requirements are identified by comparison, and the normal use of large opening plate is ensured. It is a valuable reference for the design and analysis of the similar projects.

Abstract: Four different types of full-scale slotted end plate (SEP) connection joints are tested to determine their failure modes and damage mechanisms under ultimate load, also analyze their force-displacement behaviors and developing processes of deformation and stress. The results show that ultimate bearing capacity of the I-type SEP joint is only approximate 1/2 of the other three types of SEP joints, which indicate the SEP’s type have great influence on the ultimate strength of joints. The instability of SEP is the main factor to cause the loss of bearing capacity of the connection joints, which is shown through the development of stress, that SEP enters into plastic stage and the other regions still are elastic.

Abstract: This test was investigated on the compression failure in eccentric reinforced concrete square cross-section. In total twelve different scale specimens were eccentrically compressed with size of: 200×200mm; 400×400mm; 800×800mm. specimens were divided into 3 groups with 4 each. Only six columns have been investigated in this paper thus a column by eccentricity. The main point were based on the existence of size effect phenomenon on cross-section components collapsed with different sizes to the ultimate bearing capacity and the cross-section strain, ductility, deflection, and other failure characteristics. Analysis of the experimental data’s showed that the size effect phenomenon exists.

Abstract: In order to remove the hidden danger resulted by distortion of weak surrounding rock in tunnel, the GM(1,1) of the distortion data of weak surrounding rock is used to predict the distortion trend of weak rock vault in the next phase. According to the actual data, a GM(1,1) of the distortion is built, and it is shown that the predict result of GM(1, 1) is accurate, and the calamity can be reduced by the way.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the feasibility of study on microstructure of soil using Matlab, and based on the theoretical model , introduced the fundamental principles, method and detailed process of dealing with soil SEM picture by making use of Matlab. Finally, through the processing and analysis of the model picture, we make a further explain for the operation procedure and approach. From the analytical results, we can draw the conclusion that making use of Matlab to deal with the soil SEM picture can accomplish a convenient and accurate study of soil microstructure.

Abstract: With the demand of economic development and traffic modernization process, the construction of highway engineering in China has come into a fast period. This paper investigates the settlement of the highway embankment using the finite element software Plaxis. The embankment settlements at different locations with time are presented. Compared with the measured settlement-time data, it is concluded that the computed results kept good agreements with measured data. The results show that the software Plaxis has certain accuracy in the calculation of the embankment settlement over soft clay ground, which could be intended to provide a reference for engineering practice. The presented numerical simulation model can be applied to predict the settlement during the filling process of embankment.

Abstract: Slope stability analysis is an important content in geotechnical engineering designing. And the safety factor is still the main index to evaluate the safety status of the whole slope, but the stability of each element of rock mass can not be reflected by the whole safety factor. Some scholars introduce the concept of point safety factor (PSF) to evaluate the stability of each element in rock-soil mass. However, the present work about PSF is remaining in the field of linear model, instead of nonlinear model. But in real situation, the nonlinear failure criterions are more adaptable used to describe the characteristic of rock mass, such as nonlinear failure characteristic of rock strength, structural characteristic and the effect of the stress to the strength of rock mass. So in this paper, the PSF based on the Hoek-Brown nonlinear mechanics model is founded, followed by calculation PSF for one rock mass element stability.

Abstract: Using finite element software, Plaxis model and the measured data, the finite element analysis for the shallow tunnel of crossing the street tunnel in saturated soft clay shallow driven method, studied the influence of crossing the street tunnel and the change of stress field of the strata for the soil around different parameters (tunnel wall stiffness, construction load, soil disturbance).

Abstract: Through a typical rainstorm process, the rainwater outlet amount and the catchment area of Zhenjiang urban is collected. It is simulated by Infoworks ICM model, the corresponding parameters of substitution are applied. The results found: The model can better reflect heavy rain or rainstorm of rainwater outlet catchment case of Zhenjiang urban.
