The Application of RFID in the Cold-Chain Quality Management

Abstract:

As a new industry in China, cold-chain logistics has some characteristics including high timeliness and short shelf-life. It is considered to be available to improve the efficiency of operation and management of cold chain logistic by the sensible usage of advanced RFID technology. The paper studies the necessity and feasibility of the applications of RFID based on the discussion of process of cold chain logistics, which covers manufacturing, stocking, transportation, delivering, and marketing of the cold products, in order to guarantee the quality of the cold chain and publics safety.
