The Key Points in the Design of Supporting Structures for Dual-Track Tracking CSP System

Article Preview

Abstract:

The dual-track tracking CSP system is an amelioration of the traditional photo-thermal power system. One advantage of this system is that the heliostat, with its movable support and slip frame, can be powered to instantly keep track with the sun, thus promoting the efficacy of the generator. The supporting structure of the heliostats has an enormous bulk, and being removable, it encompasses many links to pass the complicated force. Furthermore, the cooperation of various parts of the system, such as the structure, control system, opticator, and mechanical parts, must be taken into consideration in the design process. Therefore technical feasibility becomes the premise for the realization of the system, and its production cost determines the scale of its practical application. Based on the working principle of the dual-track tracking CSP system, this paper makes an analysis of the features of the supporting system of the heliostat, clarifies some key points in the design and optimization of the supporting structure, and puts forward some advice on the solution of the problems.
