Reliability Based Buckling Analysis of Composite Panels with Tophat Stiffened Topology

Article Preview

Abstract:

A reliability based analysis method for composite panels with tophat stiffened topology was presented in this paper. An energy based grillage method was developed for the buckling problems of the stiffened panels subject to bi-directional in-plane loads. The variables that have large impact on structural safety were identified using a sensitivity analysis procedure. The coupling effects of the plate dimension ratio and in-plane loading ratio on the critical buckling loads were investigated.
