A Study on Architectural Style of Buildings along the Northern Foot of Qinling Mountains Taking Xi’an Garden as Example

Abstract:

The paper researches the location along the northern foot of Qinling Mountains and its architectural style. The particularity of the location and the relationship between natural environment and architectural style are analyzed. From the points of climatic characteristics, landform, water system and culture, the impaction of natural environment on architectural style of Qinling Mountains is studied. Taking Xi’an Garden as an example, the reason is explained. With studying architectural style in the particular location which is the northern foot of Qinling Mountains, it is hope to protect Qinling ecological environment though architectural style in harmony with natural environment.
