Application of a New Type of Composite Adaptive Controller in the Lithium Battery Charging System

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to solve problem in lithium battery charging system about uncertainty and difficulty of setting of the parameters, a new method of compound controller of fuzzy + variable universe fuzzy-PID based on ant colony algorithm optimization is proposed. When the system fluctuates frequently, the fuzzy control enables the system to have the most superior dynamic performance; when the system enters the stable phase, variable universe adaptive fuzzy-PID control improves the accuracy of the system. Ant colony algorithm is applied to optimizing the values of PID parameter offline. The offline optimized values are used as the primary values for online adjusting and they can make the system more stable. The proposed compound control strategy is applied to the lithium battery charging system. The simulation result shows that the system has features of anti-disturbance and robustness.
