Abstract:

The paper makes a slow traffic survey of Nan shao men and Li jia cun in Xi'an. According to the investigation data, the paper analyses the present situation of the two areas’ slow traffic travel characters, it mainly includes the based property of slow traffic, the travel purposes of slow traffic, the trip mode and the spatio-temporal characteristics of travel. The result shows that: the travel time of slow traffic in Xi’an is too concentrated, it is better to adjust the work time of the organizations or different departments through the macroscopic readjustment and control of the Government, so that they could work in separate period. Moreover , the regional distribution of travel is imbalance. In order to reduce the influence on traffic, it will be better to set the underpass or overpass in the area which has a large capacity of slow traffic. Finally the traffic system is lack of planning and management. It is more likely to enhance the awareness of observing traffic regulations and strengthen the penalties for the behaviors which break the rules of the slow traffic.
