Abstract: EMATEST-BB is a set of ultrasonic testing equipment for automated final examination of bars. The important specific of the equipment (eddy current system +ultrasonic testing system) is that the combined test station allows one to perform acceptance examination of the whole bar: body + surface, at the same testing position. This Paper mainly describes installation, setting-up and operation of software of ultrasonic testing equipment (UTE) computer system.

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to use the Noninvasive Strain Measurement System to monitor the pulse pressure of the blood’s undulation in the artery as an index for the clinical diagnosis of arteriosclerosis. In the study, a strain-measuring device (350Ω) is affixed to the left side of the radial styloid process, on the surface of the skin, and is connected to the Strain FleXense. An artery-pressuring tape is set on the left humerus, and the measurement of the wavelength and frequency of the heartbeat is taken to compare with the clinical artery wave. The results show that when the subject is in a comfortable position with moderate physiological levels, the heartbeat has no connection whatsoever with blood pressure. The greatest heartbeat strain, which occurs when the veins and arteries respectively are being cleared, displays as a linear change.

Abstract: In recent years, with advances in microelectronics technology and wireless communication technology which promote the rapid development of low power, low price, multifunction sensor, and it also contributed to the development of wireless sensor networks. Wireless sensor network can be used in military, medical and commercial areas. This paper mainly described the characteristics of wireless sensor networks, security threats in the communication process and analyzed its security needs of taking security mechanisms to ensure the security of wireless communications.

Abstract: Recent studies have shown that subnets of scale-free networks are not scale-free, which make it difficult to extrapolate from subnet data to properties of the global networks. Here, we discuss sampling properties of Erdö–Rényi and scale-free networks, then figure out how average degree varies with sampling probability. This finding is developed to be a practical detection method based on multiple sampling. In practice, the method could not only prove global networks and randomly sampled subnets belong to the same family of probability, but also detect unknown networks by least sampling frequency.

Abstract: Based on standard k-ε turbulence model and the VOF method for tracking free surface, hydraulic characteristics of the spillway in Gushitan Reservoir are simulated with a 3-D numerical model. The discharge capacity, water surface profiles, bottom pressure distribution and flow pattern are studied. Numerical simulation results have been in good agreement with experimental results, showing fine feasibility to study hydraulic characteristics of the spillway with the VOF method. The hydraulic characteristics acquired by the numerical simulation method can be used for spillway design.

Abstract: The reasonable wet-dry classification of annual runoff has the guiding significance for the rational development and utilization of water resources. The conventional method and the set-pair analysis (SPA) method have been adopted in this paper to classify the abundant state and the low state of the annual runoff in Biliuhe reservoir from 1951 to 2005. The results show that the conventional method only stresses the size of annual runoff, which does not consider the schedule distribution; therefore, the wet-dry classification results are unilateral. However, the SPA method comprehensively emphasizes the two factors and the classification results can better reflect the actual wet-dry situation of annual runoff.

Abstract: From engineering actual conditions of single crystal grown by floating zone method, Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the energy conservation equation were solved on a staggered grid based on the half floating area physical model. The two-phase surface was captured by using the mass conserving level set method. The internal flow structure of flow field of high Pr number liquid bridge was studied under uniform magnetic field environment in microgravity, which is important to optimize the process of the crystal growth.

Abstract: A pumping operation model has been developed in urban areas caused by the storm runoff. The Chung-Kong pumping station in New Taipei City is used as a case study, where storm and operating records are used to train and verify the model’s performance. Historical records contain information of rainfall amounts, inner water levels, and pump and gate operating records in torrential rain events. The results show that the case with lag time of 15 min gives the better forecasted pumping discharge than other cases. The proposed predicting pumping model successfully addresses the problems of forecasted pumping discharge.

Abstract: Urban water supply system and the people’s daily life are closely related. In addition to the urban population, the structure and the scale of economic, the factors affecting the requirement of urban water supply included the meteorological factors such as temperature. Based on Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, we analyze the relationship between urban water supply and temperature with the actual data of Beijing from 2008 year to 2009 year, and get regression fitting function with multiple regression analysis method. The analysis result can provide the basis for scientific management and accurately predict urban water supply.
