Abstract:

Safe operation is the basic condition of shipping. Long-range identification and tracking system is an important measure for maritime security. If applied as referred in the SOLAS convention, long-range identification and tracking system will play an active role. Through research on the system's background, composition, function and coordination with other equipment, it is expected to play its better role in safety operation and provide reference for its practitioners.
