Abstract: The real-time monitoring of a data is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of the acquired data. It determines whether the device is properly working or in fault. This paper proposed the design and implementation of a ZigBee-based wireless automatic meter reading system. It focuses on the development of a device that is capable of monitoring meter reader remotely. It sends the data hourly or daily using Zigbee as the transmitting medium. The proposed device uses software; XCTU, Arduino Programming Language, Multisim and hardware; Microcontroller, Pulse generating circuit, Zigbee antenna, 16X2 LCD Display to actually demonstrate the result. This device has a good potential in wireless meter reading due to its low-cost, low power consuming, and low data rate. The input is the pulse generated by the pulsating circuit and the output will be shown onto the LCD display and in the XCTU software proving that it transmitted wirelessly. The results successfully shows the data is received as what it is transmitted.

Abstract: Today, due to the increase in smart grid and DC appliances implement the use of renewable energy, the power consumption of equipment and appliances can be monitored by smart outlet or smart meter. However, if every devices are installed a meter will be very expensive and lack of flexibility. This work proposes a combination of multi-channel power supply and matrix measurement of electrical meter data management system to increase system built facilitate and promote greater consumption analysis flexibility and benefits. The proposed method includes a programmable logic controller (PLC)based Multi-channel power supply switch circuit (MPSC), measurement control circuit and Zigbee intelligent socket (Smart Outlet) for collecting and controlling the power flow with wireless communication. Three types of wireless metering methods are used to compare cost and metering error rate. The experimental results reveal this work can be an efficient and low-cost metering solution.

Abstract: In order to provide theoretical basis for studying the corona discharge problem deeply, this paper analyzed advantages and disadvantages of the wavelet method and the spatial and temporal method based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD). It combined the threshold technique of wavelet method and the EMD technique of spatial and temporal processing method, and then proposed the threshold processing method based on EMD. The paper used the three methods to analyze a simulated signal of corona discharge polluted by white noise, the results show that the signal-noise ratio of the paper’s method is biggest and the root mean square error of the paper’s method is smallest. It proves de-noising effects of the paper’s method are better than the other two methods. In the end, the paper reconstructed corona discharge signal submerged in strong background noise from actual corona discharge by the paper’s method, it proves the method can extract small signal from complex background noise.

Abstract: Based on image features high precision positioning measurement research. Design of a Harris corner sub-pixel location algorithm, and makes the simulation experiment. Algorithm in image noise can be realized under the condition of larger than 0.1 pixels high precision positioning.

Abstract: In order to adapt to the trend of electronic business, improve the efficiency of the express sorting, this paper desires to explore the barcode technology on image recognition in the express sorting system. Firstly, it briefs the design scheme, and the structure of the sorting robot. In the second, it discussed the key techniques on image recognition about the barcode. Finally, we do some experiments to prove the feasibility of this method.

Abstract: Vibration data acquisition has comprehensive applications such as machine monitoring, seismic data gathering. This paper presented a design of a vibration monitoring system based on an ICP acceleration sensor and a Cortex-M3 microcontroller. The sensor modulation circuit is illustrated in detail including the constant current source and filtering. An evaluation on the prototype is developed and the results show that our design can successfully monitor the vibration situations of interested objects.

Abstract: In this paper, we presented a semantic speech segmentation approach, in particular phoneme segmentation. In order to get phoneme level information, a novel voiced speech, unvoiced speech and silence (VUS) classification is proposed. Five parameters that can be extracted by short-time analysis methods are used to discriminate the phoneme boundary. Experiments on Uyghur broadcasting news indicate that the performance of proposed algorithm is satisfying.

Abstract: A new pitch detection method is designed by the recurrence analysis in this paper, which is combined of Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) and Elliptic Filter (EF). The Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) of Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) are utilized tosolve the problem, and a noisy voice is first filtered on the elliptic band filter. The two Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMF) are synthesized by EMD with maximum correlation of voice, and then the pitch be easily divided. The results show that the new method performance is better than the conventional autocorrelation algorithm and cepstrum method, especially in the part that the surd and the sonant are not evident, and get a high robustness in noisy environment.
