Research on Stability of Pretensioned Spherical Reticulated Mega-Structure

Article Preview

Abstract:

Pretensioned spherical reticulated mega-structure is studied in this paper. The cable arrangements and support styles of the main structure are first introduced. The static stabilities including the buckling mode and ultimate load of the pretensioned spherical reticulated mega-structure are then investigated by the ANSYS software. The influences of the key parameters such as the rise-span ratio, height of the 3D trussed beams, and the pretension value of cables on the structural stability are studied. And the optimal cable pretension values of the structures with different cable arrangement styles and different rise-span ratios are also obtained.
