Research on Accidental Defects to Bearings of Mining Equipment

Abstract:

By means of the material presented in this paper, we want to approach an unfavourable aspect frequently met in the surface mining exploitations of Oltenia coal basin. The excavation installations in these coal quarries are submitted to difficult work conditions: dust (fine mineral particles having the size of maximum 10μm or even less) [2], low temperatures (in winter-30°C), a corrosive atmosphere (acid underground waters, sulphates, gas resulted from coal extraction such as SOx generated when roasting the abscesses, the nitrates), etc.[2,6]. By the construction, both the marching mechanism and these articulations of the installation extensions are built on the concept of sliding bearing.
