Ecological Security Evaluation of Coal Resource-Exhausted Cities: A Case Study of Zaozhuang City in China

Abstract:

By means of conceptual model of pressure-state-response model and the method of analytic hierarchy process, evaluation index system of ecological environment was built. Evaluation of ecological security was quantitatively calculated based on comprehensive index method. The evaluation of development trend and diversity of ecological security was conduct in the case of a typical coal resource-exhausted city-Zaozhuang city in China. The results show that ecological security of Zaozhuang city is in good tendency with little fluctuation in 2001-2009 and ecological security indexes in various districts with different coal mining histories are of some differences in Zaozhuang city.
