Research on BIM Technology Application in the Construction of a Subway Station

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to ensure the project period, installation quality and economic benefit, Building Information Models (BIM) technology is introduced to solve construction safety problems of subway station project. The purpose of this paper is to propose a BIM framework focusing on the issues of practicability for real subway station projects. From aspects of BIM pipeline comprehensive and 4D construction simulation, contents and methods of BIM application and effect are studied. It has been found the project period can be decreased by 15 percent. However, comprehensive issues in terms of BIM effectiveness need to be further developed.
