The Strategies of Energy Efficiency Retrofit of Old Industrial Building

Abstract:

The envelop enclosure reconstructuring, the natural lighting and ventilation organization, renewable resources utilization and the automatic controlling system application are four aspects that should be kept with attention in the low energy consumption reconstruction of old industrial buildings. By taking technical measures such as changing wall body, doors and windows material, rationally using wind and thermal pressure at the site, taking full advantage of energy like solar and geothermal power and introducing high-tech controlling system, the energy consumption of old industrial buildings can be effectively reduced.
