Research on Stereoscopic Video Compression Technology of Living Culture Resource

Article Preview

Abstract:

Living culture resource is very important among kinds of human resources, so preserving it has great significance in the development and heritage of culture. This paper compared and simulated several existing compression technologies of stereoscopic video which have been widely used in video coding. The experiment results showed that using H.264 for monocular data compression of each eye is most suitable for recording stereoscopic video of living culture resource. This research will benefit the culture protection and technology development in our country.
