Abstract: The purpose of this study was to develop a hybrid fuzzy-sliding controller with fuzzy self-tuning (HFSC). This controller used a fuzzy supervisory system to allocate the output proportions of a sliding-mode controller and a fuzzy controller (FC). The sliding-mode controller primarily provides rapid control efforts in the transient state, and the FC mainly offers smooth control in the steady state and decreases the chatter phenomenon caused by the sliding-mode controller. Finally, the proposed HFSC was implemented in the vector controlled drive system of induction motor as the speed controller. The experimental results showed that the tracking performance and effects of the HFSC were superior to those of the FC.

Abstract: This study adopts the fuzzy control theory to design a self-tuning fuzzy controller (STFC), which allows adjustment to overcome the controller design difficulty caused by switched reluctance motor (SRM) nonlinearity. Based on the torque sharing function (TSF), the proposed STFC was implanted into an SRM direct torque control (DTC) drive system to develop a system with superior speed and electromagnetic torque dynamic responses. In addition, the control strategy possessed excellent electromagnetic torque response, and effectively improved the dynamic response of the system. Abstract: This This paper proposed method is to use a Smart phone in the real - time situation to carry out monitoring and controlling factory zone temperature, humidity, air quality, flame detection, staff not near the danger zone detection and electrical load analysis. The monitoring range also includes operating machine vibration detection in the factory area, so these methods are innovative research. Our research proposes the integration of ZigBee and Wi-Fi protocol intelligent monitoring system within the framework of the entire plant. The factory sensor using the ZigBee protocol to deliver the message, and real-time sensing data is sent to our integrated embedded systems. Our paper presents an integrated embedded systems using the open-source Arduino DUE module, which is a 32-bit ARM core. Our study proposed a way that writes the network code to ARM chipset become integrated controller. The intelligent integrated controller will instantly analytical processing by the ZigBee sensor pass to the message. Simultaneously this study using Android APP and web-based methods to show the measurement results. The web-based and Android APP approaches will transfer these results to specify the cloud device by way of the TCP / IP protocol. Finally, this paper utilizes FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) approach to analysis of power loads in the factory zones. Simultaneously this study also uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology to carry out the actual measurement of the total electricity load experiments by smart phones.

Abstract: This study production of smart house to show the entire system, the use of self-sensing module and the 8051 monocrystal chip processing sensor signals, the success achieved with the measurement of temperature, humidity, illumination, carbon monoxide sensor module. The way transmits by wireless (ZigBee chips) and wired (DAQ signal acquisition device) sensor value send to the server-side carries on remote monitoring and record etc. In accordance with environmental requirements set in the server-side sensing value, using the infrared ray way automatic control load. When necessity also can use the available hand-hold remote control, dual control functions to enable the environment to be safer and the comfortable home life.

Abstract: In the chemical engineering territory, the important parameters regarding reaction are fundamentally temperature, pressure, and concentration, among which the setting and monitoring of reaction temperature are crucial to complete the reaction efficiently, safely, and quickly. MOF Synthesis, due to the different heating pattern or unstable heating, usually affects the rate of nucleation and crystallization, causing the difference of crystalline. For the temperature sensing module made in this system, to ensure the reliability, this project implements the monitoring with wireless ZigBee chip and wire DAQ data acquisition card. The terminal interface sends the control package to infrared emission module through RS-232, and the signals are sent to infrared receiving module through infrared emission module to implement the automatic control of heating oven. The practical results are: (1) complete the temperature sensing module made by J type thermal couple, (2) ZigBee wireless and DAQ Data Acquisition Card wire transmission technology, (3) completing the development of infrared receiving and emitting control module, (4) the interface designed for this system covers the functions, such as monitoring, controlling, and recording, (5) Remote monitoring and control implemented with internet, (6) MOF synthesis heating experience.

Abstract: Although robot has been around for many years, the programming language for robot control is still hard for ordinary persons. To promote robot into live of ordinary persons, an easier control language is one of necessity. We need a control language that can be programmed in any words and not limited to English. Forth is one of computer language that can define new commands in any printable characters on keyboard. This study explored eforth, one of kind of Forth, build on ATMEGA328P chip which is used on the world wide popular Ardunino UNO board is called 328eForth system. A 328eForth system has been developed that can be used to control hardware peripherals using Traditional Chinese command. It has simple programming rules, compact system size, and is an open source control language which used in robotic and mechatronic control and education for public.

Abstract: License plate recognition systems can be classified into several categories: systems with single camera for motionless vehicle, systems with single camera for moving vehicle, and systems with multiple cameras for moving vehicles on highways (one camera for each lane). In this paper we present an innovative system which can locate multiple moving vehicles and recognize their license plates with only one single camera. Obviously, our system is highly cost effective in comparison with other systems. Our system has license plate localization success rate 94% and license plate recognition success rate 88%. These success rates are pretty satisfiable considering the system is working on fast moving vehicles on highway.

Abstract: This research designs environment supervisory control system of computer room which consists of multiple Android environment controllers and one supervisory control server. An Android environment controller is a controller based on Android device. The controller contains an Android device, a Wi-Fi wireless access point, a switch hut (or NAT) and three data acquisition modules. The Android device enters TCP/IP LAN through the Wi-Fi access point. The data acquisition modules with TCP/IP interface are plugged into the LAN, and read/written by the Android device with Modbus TCP/IP protocol. Control logics are designed for computer room environment control. The controller monitors air conditioning systems, room temperature and humidity, fire alarm systems, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, electricity supply systems, leak detections, and door access control systems. If something happens, it can drive buzzer, alarm, voice dialing, or air conditioning, send SMS, voice mail, record audio, or video. A supervisory control server is used to help remote controls of all Android environment controllers. All Android controllers send their operation data to the server. Authorized user can login to the server to monitor and control certain Android controller with a browser or Android device.

Abstract: This system is a self-developed real-time thickness inspection system including high-precision laser sensors and a mobile platform for on-line detection of tire rubber skin. The measurement data is used to calculate the standard deviation and process capability indices, and to evaluate measurement capacity. The system is a real-time measurement system in which the obtained measuring data compare with the standard value and show any errors. A technician can adjust the process parameters precisely on-line to improve product quality. The standard deviation of repeatability of the system for height is within +/- 0.0081 mm. The repeatability error of the horizontal sliding rail is within 0.0145mm, while the measurement error between this system and a coordinated measuring machine is within 0.028mm.

Abstract: Traditional parallel mechanisms (PMs) are usually characterized by small tilting capability. To overcome this problem, a 3-DOF parallel swivel head (PSH) with large tilting capacity is proposed in this paper. The proposed PSH, which is structurally developed from a conventional 3-PRS parallel mechanism (PM), can achieve a large tilting capability by means of structural improvements. Firstly, a modified spherical joint with a maximum tilting angle of ±120o is devised to diminish the physical restrictions on the orientation workspace. Secondly, a UPS typed leg is introduced for the sake of singularity elimination. The superiority of the proposed PSH is theoretically proved by investigations of singularity-free orientation workspace and then is experimentally validated using a prototype fabricated. The theoretical and experimental results illustrate that the proposed PSH has a large tilting capacity and thus can be used as swivel head for a hybrid machine tool which is designed to be capable of realizing both horizontal and vertical machining.
