Application of Smart Tool Cabinet in the Temporary Grounding Wire Management

Article Preview

Abstract:

Temporary grounding wire is an important insurance to protect the safety of maintenance personnel and the power line, in order to prevent wrong operation such as switching on breaker with the grounding wire linked, this paper developed an smart tool cabinet to orderly place grounding wire, making it convenient for substation management personnel to check the information and ensure proper operation. Intelligence tool cabinet contains position sensors, RFID device, the central processing unit and GPRS wireless communication module and so on, it can send information of grounding wire such as time, number, and status back to the PC automatically and timely without attendants filling out the information form. The good operation of the system shows that managing grounding wire with the tool cabinet is feasible.
