Plasticization of Trunk Lid and Molding Parameter Optimization

Article Preview

Abstract:

A trunk lid plate was taken as an example and Fiberglass-reinforced PET material was used to replace steel for weight-saving in this paper. According to the thin plate stiffness theory, thickness of suitcase cover plate is 3 mm approximately, using finite element simulation analysis to verify its stiffness and mode meet requirements exactly. Injection molding was chosen as plates forming method. Plastic parts warpage had closely relationship with various process parameters, orthogonal experiment was used to find the optimal parameter in the given range.
