Ontology-Based Fault Diagnosis Knowledge Representation of CNC Machine Tool

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to improve the knowledge representation in the field of CNC machine tool fault diagnosis, a method of knowledge representation based on ontology was proposed. Firstly, the fault diagnosis process in this field were described and analyzed. Secondly, the definitions of ontology such as classes, attributes, relations, and functions were provided, in order to describe the process of knowledge representation based on ontology. At last, the model with OWL of fault diagnosis of CNC lathe was constructed with the protégé. It shows that the method proposed in this article to can improve the description of the CNC machine tool fault diagnosis.
