Abstract:

In the research of 2D anthropometry and application, the pattern design system of men’s pants developed by this paper has full capacity of automatic pattern design, which needn’t any manual operation. The system only needs body front and side photos of clients, and allows clients to change the pants style through the design interface so that pattern design can complete automatically. Automatic extraction of body size data is realizing by obtaining M document according to MATLAB program and transferring it. This paper is to translate body size extraction procedure to a document which can be directly transferred by using MATLAB software so as to realize automatic extraction of body size based on VB language. This is basic step of developing 2D anthropometry and application system which lay the foundation for auto-generation of paper pattern.
