Design on Thin Walled Ring Rolling Machine with Fixed Driven Rollers

Abstract:

A new rolling machine with 12 pairs of driven rollers and idle rollers was innovated, which could roll thin walled rings. It is an advance technology could decrease produce cost, save energy and protect environment. According to working principle, the driven rollers were fixed and the machine only formed ring section shape. In equipment design, after designed transmission structure, key components such as electric motor, gears and bearings were designed and checked. According to 3D models, the experiment equipment was manufactured. A ball groove section thin walled ring was produced in this machine. The success of rolling experiment will be the foundation stone in breakthrough and progress for thin walled ring rolling process theories.
