Dimensional Synthesis of a 4-DOF Hybrid Driving Platform

Article Preview

Abstract:

A novel 4-DOF hybrid driving platform of flight simulator is presented. Its main load born by a PU limb which composed of pneumatic support unit, so the driving force, the safety and the simulation performance are all improved. The simulation performance is proposed to be taken as the evaluating index. Dimensional optimization of the driving platform is studied with the aid of the characteristics of Rayleigh quotient and vector. The influence law of scale parameters to simulation performance and constraints is discussed through monotonic analysis and it is adopted to seek the optimal solution of the simulation performance. The effectiveness of the method is proved by the example.
