Abstract:

In the elder Monitoring System, the improved IEEE802.15.4e network is in use. In order to deduce the energy consumption, modifition is introduced to the CSL mechanism of the protocol of IEEE802.15.4e. In the CSL mechanism, short interval, which is less than the channel sampling, is applied among the arouse frame sequence to wait for the acknowledged frame. Besides, a immediate response to turn on the receiver to wait for the data frame and quick switch back to the state of the next cyclical dormancy. In this way, the energy consumption problem is better solved, which greatly expand the life of the tumble detected terminal, compared with the same device worked by means of the other wireless network. Key words: IEEE802.15.4e; CSL mechanism; low consumption
