Optimization Design on the Performance of the Shaper

Article Preview

Abstract:

To improve the stability of the ram-movement and to make use of the power consumed during the return stroke, the author built a model in ADAMS[ to run its simulation to optimize the geometric parameters of the shaper so that a bidirectional planer is likely to be designed and applied in the industrial field, thus the producing efficiency could be increased without inventing a new kind of planer with a new mechanism, but only to change some geometric parameters of the original slider-crank mechanism.
