Integrated Process Planning Method for 3D Designing Environment

Abstract:

Along with the development of the information technology in manufacturing, how to promise the smooth information flow between the CAD and CAPP becomes more and more crucial. The 3D integrated system was constructed by means of the second developed embedded model on commercially available 3D platform. Firstly, all functional models are constructed under the framework of the system, among which the information flow is smooth by the developed interfaces. Secondly, the processes information framework was constructed, by which the static information on fabricating factors and the dynamic information on process planning is hierarchically organized. Finally, the mapping relationship was constructed by means of the parametric extraction technology. On the basis of the mapping results, fabricating schemes were generated by reasoning technology.
