Study on Hull Deformation at Supports of Propulsion Shaft of a Large Container Ship

Abstract:

The aim of the paper is to evaluate the hull deformation at propulsion shaft supports of a large container ship under different loading cases and wave parameters. From the results of the study some valuable conclusions can be drawn for reasonable shafting alignment of a ship.
