Reach on Value of Crash Reduction Factor (CRF) in Safeguard Technology of Mountainous Rural Highway

Article Preview

Abstract:

Crash Reduction Factor (CRF) is an important indicator for Economy Analysis of Safeguard Technology. This paper introduces the concept of CRF, and pointed out the limitations of its application. Meanwhile, it is necessary to adopt a variety of safeguard measures for multiple accident potential on a secton of highway in domestic mountainous rural road. Therefore, this paper presents the concept of general CRF. Then, multiple-event probability formula is proposed to calculate the generalized CRF for the feature of CRF. Finally. At last, discussed the work we needed to do if CRF was to be introduced into China.
