Research on the Correlation of Transportation and Economic Development in Wuhan

Abstract:

With the impetus of the national strategy of the Rise of Central China, we should pay more attention to the sustainable development and make big efforts to stimulate domestic demand, of which Wuhan is one of the most promising areas in central region. Transportation is not only the production sector to create material wealth but also the foundation to support the social economic operation. It plays an important role in promoting the development of specialized production and social division of labor. This paper theoretically analysis the impact of transportation on the economic development in Wuhan and explores the intrinsic interaction mechanism of transportation and economic development in Wuhan. It researches the effect of the change of transportation conditions on economic development in Wuhan and concludes the general law.
