Abstract:

In the past few years, e-commerce is viewed as creating challenges and opportunities for business leaders and inter-disciplinary researchers. While most firms realize that it is necessary to assess performance of logistics system, the performance measurement of E-commerce logistics system still remains unexplored. This essay starts by discussing the measures and metrics of E-commerce logistics system from the strategic, tactical and operational level. Then, a methodology based on the extent fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is proposed to prioritize performance measurement indicators in E-commerce logistics system. The application of this methodology helps us to understand the performance of E-commerce logistics system and the results are useful both to practitioners in E-commerce firms and to researchers carrying out further studies in the field.
