Experimental Study for CFRP Sheets Reinforcing High-Titaniferous Blast Furnace Slag Concrete Beams

Article Preview

Abstract:

Four high-titaniferous blast furnace slag concrete beams of rectangular section were made, one of which is the control group. 3 CFRP were set in bottom of the other beams respectively before the static loading test. The results show that external CFRP sheets can enhance the bearing capacity, reduce the deflection and delay the development of cracks, and cracking load of beams is basically proportional to reinforcement layer of CFRP sheets. But the increase of ultimate bearing capacity is not proportional to reinforcement layer of CFRP sheets, and the utilization rate of CFRP sheets would reduce with increase of bond layers.
