Discussions about Cooperative Modeling between Electricity Substation and Control Center

Article Preview

Abstract:

Power grid modeling, data maintenance and management in substation and control center are based on IEC61850 standard and IEC61970 standard respectively. The difference between the two standards inevitably affects the data sharing and maintainability of grid models and the operational efficiency of the whole system. The key issues concerning on cooperative modeling, such as power equipment collaborative naming mechanism, mutual mapping between SCL and CIM, constructing complete model for traditional substation, power grid model segmentation and merging are discussed in detail. The analysis shows that collaborative modeling is imperative for power grid to improve efficiency, reduce workload and enhance power system intelligent level in the future.
