Mechanical Design with Applied Technology for Development and Research of Integrated Design Platform for Fan

Article Preview

Abstract:

An integration design platform was developed successfully. Visual Basic (VB) was used to select model quickly, and make the secondary development on SolidWorks based on database of fan. The functions (selection model, parametric-modeling and automatic building engineering-drawing, etc.) were integrated in the platform. The platform consisted of three parameterized modeling modules, which were centrifugal fan, axial fan and centrifugal Compressor. An example of centrifugal fan is given to show that the realizing process of integration design platform. With the using of this platform, the results show that the integration design platform increases the design efficiency and makes the design easy.
