Abstract:

Nanyang is the second batch of historical and cultural city announced by state council,the historical street in the center of Nanyang town hall has a long story, it is the earliest form of Nanyang and is important to continue the Nanyang historical context. Aimed at the protection status of Nanyang historical street district,authors approached the historical street district protection and renewal method by two aspects. First, Positioning objects to be protected and proposing protection method;second,combining the historical district protection sample at home and abroad, analyzing the field research, and extracting historical elements, to make the renewal design.
