New Chinese-Style Landscape Application in Cold Residential Area

Abstract:

Chinese classical gardens need to be inherited, but also to be innovated, new Chinese-style landscape design is considered the bellwether of the native culture. According to the climate conditions, geographical and cultural factors in cold cities, as well as combining the gardening practices in northern China, thus to explore the new Chinese-style landscape suitable for cold residential environment. This paper aimed to meet the needs of aesthetic, living, searching for Chinese's roots, and at the same time, to show cultural characteristics in cold areas and to carry forward the Chinese garden culture.
