The Application of Genetic Algorithm on Target Extraction of Step Frequency Radar

Article Preview

Abstract:

The step frequency radar is a wideband and high resolution system, which is widely used in target positioning and tracking. The echo signal model of step frequency radar consists of complex sine functions with different frequencies. The maximum likelihood function of multiple frequency components is deduced based on the model. The frequencies are calculated by Genetic Algorithm and the one dimension scattering centers are extracted.
