Design of Vehicle Location and Communication System Based on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS)

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to realize the fusion of secure real-time location of vehicles and reliable communication with the outside world, a vehicle location and communication system was designed based on BeiDou Navigation Satellite System. The embedded Linux operating system platform was proposed with ARM processor S5PV210 as the core. On the basis of open source graphical user interface library QT, BDS was utilized to realize vehicle positioning and short message, GSM for car phone and SMS. The experiments show that the functions are achieved, such as vehicle positioning, car phone, short message and so on.
