Discussing the Characteristics of MOOCs

Abstract:

Recently, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) attracted scholars and experts in education, IT industry, and business. Such as Coursera and Edx, they have more influential in MOOCs. And the enrollment of them is more than million. Why MOOCs will receive such attention The main reason is that MOOCs has the advantages of network course which others not comparable to. MOOCs meets the learners' self-independent, fragmented, personalized learning paradigm. Learners have a preference for MOOCs. In order to further explore the potential of MOOCs, the study discusses from two aspects: the research background, the characteristics of MOOCs.
