A Comparison of the Economic Feasibility of the Protecting Tent Method and SCSFM Method for Heat Curing of Cold-Weather Concrete

Article Preview

Abstract:

With building structures including multi-dwelling houses, studios, and apartment buildings becoming higher, the amount of repetitive work in their construction has increased. However, to cure the concrete needed for this construction, a great deal of energy and cost are needed. Therefore, a curing method should be developed to cut the cost. For this reason, the economic feasibility of the Self-Curing System Form method (hereinafter SCSFM) was compared with that of the protecting tent. In this study, it was found that the SCSFM method is more cost-effective than the protecting tent method.
