Multi-Criteria Evaluation – A Tool for the Selection of Steel Wire Rope

Abstract:

The paper gives an example of selecting a suitable type of steel wire rope for selected transport device. The selection of steel wire rope was performed by selected method on the basis of multi-criteria evaluation. The criteria for evaluation of selected types of ropes were chosen in the way to take account of ropes parameters and the operating conditions of the transport device.
