The Possibility of Products Consumption Forecasting Having a Seasonal Character in Ensurance of Steel Wire Ropes Maintenance

Article Preview

Abstract:

The paper introduces the possibility of consumption forecasting of certain products, having a kind of seasonal character in connection with the maintenance of steel wire ropes. Forecasting of seasonality is calculated using a combination of two different methods - the method of hidden periods to find out the periodicity of seasonality and the regression analysis to identify trends. It is assumed that seasonality in consumption of certain products, such as lubricants, becomes evident by preparations of mountain towing and transportation equipment for winter season.
