An Analysis of the Factors Influencing Energy Demand in China Based on Cointegration Theory

Article Preview

Abstract:

There are numerous factors which can affect energy demand in China. This paper firstly illustrates the internal logics relationship among the energy prices, economic growth, changes in economic structure, energy consumption changes in living, performance improvement of energy efficiency and energy demand, then uses co-integration techniques to confirm the long-run equilibrium relationship and Granger causality among different influencing factors and energy demand.
