Article Preview

Abstract:

The article deals with a system design of manual order picking of goods in small trade-distribution company in which the volume of picking and transported goods is important instead of its total weight. The main part of the paper is to select the correct type and number of passive means of transport (paper or plastic boxes, crates, etc.) for small and lightweight goods and to determine the exact order and sequence of storage-packaging goods in accordance with pre-established terms and conditions. At the end, this proposed system is applied on an example.
