Abstract: Belt conveyor is a kind of continuous conveying machinery that its transmission capacity is large, it is widely used in many industries and it has broad prospects. Belt conveyor is commonly used the traditional PLC to control, the openness is low, the portability is poor, and it is not conducive to the development of the belt conveyor. This paper presents a design of belt conveyor control system with motion controller as control core; respectively the hardware design and software design are introduced. The control system has good flexibility, high open degree, it is in line with the future development trend of belt conveyer, and it has certain guiding significance.

Abstract: In order to ensure good performance and extend the lifetime of li-ion batteries in electric cars, effective real-time monitoring and management must be valued. This paper designs an electric vehicle battery management system based on a smart battery monitoring chip, DS2438. It integrates the measurement of battery's temperature, voltage, current, and power as a whole, which not only simplifies the circuit, but also saves system cost. The battery’s SOC (State Of Charge) can be easily estimated and displayed in this design. It improves the reliability of power battery pack and prolonged its life, which can be used as reference to battery management system design and application.

Abstract: In order to guide the manipulator putting explosive into the blasting hole automatically, a hole recognition and location method based on machine vision is presented. First, capture the target blasting hole pictures from two different directions by a camera mounted on the manipulator. Then, use binocular calibration method to get the hole position based on the camera coordinate. Finally, transform the camera coordinate system to the manipulator coordinate system, and then the target hole position is obtained. The experimental results show that this method has high detection accuracy and achieves a better blasting hole location.

Abstract: Given shortcomings of traditional tourniquet, a set of low-power processor based on sphygmomanometer and tourniquet multi-functional intelligent tourniquet is designed. WithMSP430 as the processor’s core, this design uses the amplitude coefficient to measure the blood pressure and heart rate. In addition to manual operation, an automatic choice for measuring the blood pressure and heart rate in real time is also available. We can do the measurement of blood pressure, the tourniquet to stop bleeding, dynamic information display functions in real time.BecauseMSP430 mixed-signal processors are applied, circuit design is streamlined, and the reliability and stability of the system are also improved.

Abstract: The application of micro-grid affects distribution network, while the existing power supply reliability assessment index of distribution network cannot reflect its specific contribution. Based on an analysis of the shortages with the existing power supply reliability assessment index, a new index considering the time and power for evaluating the power supply reliability is proposed. The example indicates that the index proposed can be simply calculated and quantitatively measures the contribution to power supply reliability assessment of distribution network.

Abstract: In avionics equipment maintenance, electronic equipment failure or mal function caused by PCB that happens frequently. Due to the complexity of large circuit network cross linking, it is hard to solve such a troubleshooting by point to point. Advanced avionics, such as GNS430, VHF155A, G1000 integrated avionics system are using SMT technology. Because of PCB’s greatly fine line and the ultra-fine pitch components, it is highly difficult for electronic equipment test. Video optical detection technology for PCB detection technology is developed rapidly in recent years. It gradually began to replace the original visual detection and electrometric method, and it has a high fault resolution.

Abstract: Focus on the character of energy harvesting sensor network in heterogeneous sensor network and some shortage in SEP algorithm, an improved algorithm for EH-SEP is been proposed. EH-SEP considers both residual energy and energy support of nodes in cluster-head election process .Improved algorithm achieves higher probability that the advanced nodes with high residual energy to be cluster-head, and lower probability that the traditional nodes with low residual energy to be cluster-head. During the state of data sensing, this paper adopted multiple hop data transmission to avoid long distance communication between the cluster head and base station, so it can improve the network energy utilization. The simulation result shows that: EH-SEP algorithm is not only suitable for energy harvesting of wireless sensor network, but also effectively prolong the work time in the network stable stage.

Abstract: Compared with the traditional electric-powered wheelchair, people are paying more attention on intelligent wheelchair. While the traditional intelligent wheelchair relays on separate designed control system, it is not good for general use. In that case, ROS provides an easy to use framework for rapid system development so that the researchers can develop various software packages to meet their needs, and we can also call each other packages without considering the compatibility problems. In this paper, we present a ROS (Robot Operating System) based intelligent wheelchair with the function of voice-control navigation. Compared with the traditional navigation, the voice-control navigation is more human. Obviously, ROS increases the versatility of system and reduces the cost. In order to prove the advancement and feasibility of this developed system, some experimental results are given in the paper.

Abstract: In this paper, through analyzing the generating mechanism of automobile steering resisting torque, we build MATLAB/SIMULINK torque simulation model and get the steering resisting torque under different working conditions. And the results show that the model has a higher accuracy through comparing it with actual measured steering resisting torque. Design and set up the experiment platform composed of three parts including steering system, control system and torque loading device. Based on the data of steering resisting torque obtained from the model simulation, we manipulate torque loading device to input a certain of resistance for steering system ,thus to realize accurate simulation of various steering condition on test platform ,which has paved the way for the development and debugging of EPS controller.

Abstract: Based on the ABS model of a single wheel system, the traditional logic threshold, PID and fuzzy control method have been used to study the control system of commercial vehicle’s ABS. As the most important task of commercial vehicle’s ABS is to prevent the two front (steering) wheels from locking, the slip ratio should be controlled strictly in the safe range. A very short time of locking may cause the failure of steering, so control method which can keep slip ratio in the secure scope accurately can help vehicle avoid the danger of runaway. Set up the model on Simulink platform. Then, use the three control methods to control the ABS. By comparing and analyzing the processes and results under the control methods, find an appropriate way that can provide the most secure and effective control. From the perspective of processes (slip ratio changes), the simulations under the three control methods show the PID control gives the best slip ratio curve. The curve is almost coinciding with the ideal slip ratio curve. The oscillation of slip ratio given by fuzzy control is the most sever. From the point of view of the results (braking distance), the braking system with PID control has the shortest braking distance while with the fuzzy control has the longest. That is not to say fuzzy control is not advanced but the actual experiences difficult to get. And with the long response time, the fuzzy control is not suitable for commercial vehicle’s ABS. As a result and with the development and decreasing cost of PID controller, it is competitive in today’s ABS market.
