Article Preview

Abstract:

In Korea, construction accidents have been constantly increasing. Construction laborers have higher hazard rates and higher work intensity than other industries, which mean that they experience more job stress. The job stress has risk to have a negative impact on their safety at site. While the number of foreign laborers has increased, there are few studies about the stress of them. Therefore, this study proposed a safety management method based on job stress analysis for foreign construction laborers in Korea. A questionnaire to measure job stress was performed targeting foreign laborers, and the results were analyzed. The results of this study can be utilized to preventing construction accidents related to job stress in the future.
