Reverberation Time Measurement for ANGKASA’s High Intensity Acoustic Chamber

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper focuses on the measurement of Reverberation Time of a high intensity acoustic chamber in Malaysia Space Center that will be used for satellite’s mechanical testing. 1/3 octave-band reverberation time characteristics are presented to validate the performance and capabilities of this chamber. The measurement was performed with reference to ISO 3382, Acoustics - Measurement of Reverberation Time in Auditoria standard. Results were successfully obtained and had shown that the chamber produced high Reverberation Time, up to 33 seconds.
