Monitoring the Influence of Dehydrating Solutions for the Production of Alpha Gypsum

Article Preview

Abstract:

The research work is focused on the preparation of alpha hemihydrate of calcium sulphate without pressure by dehydration of gypsum in chloride salt solutions. In relation to the previous work, the influence of dehydrating solutions on the final properties of the produced alpha gypsum was monitored. Chemical and mineralogical analysis and determination of physical mechanical properties of the final product were conducted.
