The Mechanical Properties of Inorganic/Organic Co-Crosslinked PDMAEMA Hydrogels

Article Preview

Abstract:

The nanosized Ov-POSS particles were added into the PDMAEMA hydrogels crosslinked by BIS in situ radical polymerization as a co-crosslinker. Both cross-linker makes a non-ignorable effect on the mechanical properties. With the increase of Ov-POSS, the mechincal properties were improved obviously comparing to the gels only crosslinked by BIS. The increased BIS is also conducive to the enhancement of tensile and compression strength of gels.
